Learning to use my digital camera

On Sunday 22nd November I went on a short but sweet beginners course on how to use a DSLR camera with David Hurst from the Institute of Professional Photography.

The session began with a swift discussion on the basics of my DSLR camera in Revolution bar in Fallowfield, our intimate group of around eight people then took a short walk over to Platt Fields park where we could put our new knowledge about aperture, shutter speed and ISO into practice.

I didn’t manage to get many photos as my camera had other problems that weren’t fixed until near the end of the session but here’s what I did manage to capture. I didn’t make a note of which settings I used as I was concentrating on getting my head around everything.

Suffice to say, I absolutely loved my (freezing cold) morning of learning how to use my camera and will be going on another course in the new year.
